What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern position at Insight Global?
Position Overview:
We are seeking individuals to participate in a paid research study as background actors simulating as everyday bus passengers. Participants will support data collection efforts by behaving naturally in a controlled, real-world environment and must be comfortable being recorded for research purposes.
Project Dates & Schedule:
- Dates: May 27th – June 17th
- Shifts Available:
- Morning: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Evening: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Act as a typical bus rider during a ~5-hour live bus ride
- Ride the bus for the full duration of a ~5-hour shift while acting as a typical passenger
- Act out various real-life scenarios while riding the bus (e.g., engaging in casual conversation, using a phone, reading, etc.)
- Rotate between different seats throughout the session as directed
- Participate in brief, natural interactions with the research team (e.g., answering simple questions like “Is someone sitting here?” or “Would you mind moving over?”)
Requirements:
- Ability to remain engaged for the full duration of a shift (~5 hours)
- Must be comfortable being recorded on video for research purposes and sign a consent form authorizing use of your image
- Comfortable participating in light, natural interactions in a public-facing setting
Additional Details:
- Temporary, project-based opportunity
- No acting experience required participants should behave as they normally would during a bus commute
