Insight Global is looking for an IT Project Manager to support one of our clients local to the Richmond area on a top priority application development project. This is a hybrid opportunity, 4-days onsite, that will be a minimum 12-month contract engagement. The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering information technology projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational strategy, governance standards, and operational needs. We can offer a starting hourly rate between $40-50/hr.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead end-to-end management of IT projects including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Adhere to and champion existing PMO methodologies (ex. Project charter, viable requirement, and UAT test results) and governance (ex. documentation of meeting minutes and cadence, change control and adherence to agree upon communication plan)
• Drive adherence to project goals, scope, success measures/criteria, etc. Plan, monitor, and report project progress
• Create, maintain, and deliver critical project documentation
• Lead the documentation of current and future state business processes
• Lead the documentation of standard work for business processes
• Lead business process improvement and issue resolution activities
• Facilitate project meetings and distribute meeting notes
• Provide accurate and timely project status reports
• Document and mitigate risks, issues, changes, and track action items
• Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports for executive staff
• Report on project management KPIs
• Create and maintain project plans
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners
• Manage vendor delivery, statements of work, milestones, and invoice approvals
• Lead solution acceptance, go-live readiness, and transition to operations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience 5 years of Project Management experience
• Experience with MS 365 (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Experience collaborating with 3rd party vendors
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
• PMP, CAPM or Scrum Master certifications are a plus
