6 month contract, fully onsite in Milford MA
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance & Regulation:
- Ensure compliance with all EHSS-related company policies, local, state, and federal laws (e.g., OSHA, EPA, DEP, NFPA, local Fire Department etc).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Manage audits and inspections from regulatory bodies; lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Program Development & Implementation:
- Design, implement, and manage EHSS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Develop site-specific audit and inspection program.
- Maintain site SDS management system – KHA.
- Conduct risk assessments capturing safety and industrial hygiene stressors and implement process improvements engaging with key stakeholders.
- Training & Engagement:
- Lead EHSS training initiatives for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Maintain the site matrix, content and completions within the Vector LMS.
- Promote employee involvement through safety committees and engagement activities.
- Collaborate and drive standardization efforts with the manufacturing and distribution center managers.
- Incident Management:
- Lead root cause analyses investigations of near-misses and incidents of both the manufacturing and distribution center.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the Intelex corporate enterprise solution; report findings to leadership and regulatory agencies as required.
- Sustainability:
- Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact (waste reduction, energy efficiency, emissions control).
- Lead or support sustainability reporting and goal-setting initiatives.
- Collaborate with corporate sustainability teams to meet company ESG goals.
- Security
- Complete site building audits.
- Site camera system management.
- Security badge issuance.
- Metrics & Reporting:
- Track and report EHSS performance metrics (TRIR, DART, GHG emissions, etc.).
- Analyze trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Complete environmental reporting obligations such as storm water, SPCC, Hazardous waste Biennial, TRI, TUR, Tier II, Air source etc.
- Contractor & Vendor Management:
- Ensure contractor compliance with EHSS requirements via GRMS vendor program.
- Evaluate third-party EHSS performance.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, NEBOSH, LEED).
- Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in EHSS roles, preferably in [industry].
- Proven experience managing compliance programs and leading cross-functional teams.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and foster a positive safety culture.
- Proficient in EHSS software and data analysis tools
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and field (manufacturing floor, site, etc.)
- May require occasional travel to other company sites or for audits/inspections.
Salary : $35 - $47
