Engineering Technologist

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring an Engineering Technologist to support an electric utility client in North Houston. This person will be responsible for providing project engineering support across 15-20 projects at a time. These responsibilities include: - Reviewing Plan & Profiles. - Ensuring that construction can take place without complications. - Acquire easements, permits, and additional authorization to cross pipelines and other existing infrastructure. - Checking drawings, supporting other engineers by submitting survey requests, coordinating with overhead teams to acquire pole location authorizations, read through one-line diagrams, request new plans from vendors, and support the existing engineers ad hoc. - Review prints and drawings from external engineering design firms. - Coordinate with various internal teams to reach project deliverables (ex. Construction Team, Scheduling Team, Project Management, etc.) - Outline and review required materials for projects. Execute project from design to construction.
