Position: Distribution Center Manager
Duration: 6-month contract to hire
Pay Rate: $50/hr -$65/hr
Location: Lexington, KY
Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is looking to bring a Distribution Manager on to the team, This person will be responsible for planning and directing all distribution activities including receiving, storing, shipping, routing, handling returned/damaged goods, and administrative tasks to ensure customer and company requirements are met.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for a major in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or other business-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum of five years’ practical warehousing management and/or supervisory experience, including strong personnel management experience in hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, budget development, training, and basic awareness of employment law.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a pharmacy or pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor desired.
• Experience directly managing other associates (team of 10 or more preferred)
• Green belt or equivalent in Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma preferred
• Forklift Certification preferred, ability to obtain Forklift Certification required.

Licensed as a designated rep in Florida or Cali
