The Supply Chain Planner / Business Analyst is responsible for forecasting, inventory planning, data analysis, and cross-functional supply chain support. This role helps maintain optimal inventory levels, improve forecast accuracy, and provide reporting and insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of forecasting or planning experience, strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience working with large data sets and planning systems.
Job Description:
• Develop and maintain demand forecasts, inventory plans, and related reporting.
• Monitor inventory levels, material consumption, purchase orders, and replenishment activity to support service levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Analyze trends, forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and key supply chain metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Create, maintain, and improve reports, dashboards, and planning tools using Excel, SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, and other systems.
• Manipulate and reconcile large data sets from multiple sources to support planning decisions and business reviews.
• Partner with Supply Chain Operations, Procurement, Purchasing, Finance, and other teams to align planning priorities and execution.
• Communicate supply risks, forecast changes, and business recommendations to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to track order status, shipment timing, and issue resolution.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and leverage tools and technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and planning performance.
• Ensure planning data, reports, and system updates are accurate, complete, and timely.
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, forecasting, inventory management, and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and large data set manipulation.
• Experience working with SAP, Business Objects, Tableau, SharePoint, and query/data manipulation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to reconcile data across multiple systems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and multiple levels of management.
• Strong professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with demand planning, supply planning, purchasing, or inventory deployment.
• Experience supporting forecasting reviews, planning cycles, or S&OP processes.
• Knowledge of cable, telecommunications, or technology operations.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Business Objects.
• Experience with SAP inventory, materials management, or planning modules.
• Exposure to SQL or other query/reporting tools.
• Experience managing vendor performance and supply-related issues.
