Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to support a large general contractor completing a barracks renovation project on a military installation in Bremerton, Washington.
The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations and coordinate subcontractors, scheduling, safety, quality, and construction execution. This position requires an experienced field leader who can interpret construction drawings and critical path schedules while maintaining rigorous federal construction safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead daily field operations for a military barracks renovation project.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, inspections, and onsite construction activities.
- Monitor construction progress against the critical path schedule.
- Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Maintain compliance with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
- Identify field hazards and ensure appropriate safety measures are implemented.
- Monitor the quality and sequencing of construction activities.
- Resolve field coordination and constructability issues with project stakeholders.
- Support project planning, inspections, documentation, and closeout activities.
Qualifications
- 10 years of construction experience.
- 5 years of Superintendent experience on projects of similar size and complexity.
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1.
- Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to interpret and manage work against a critical path schedule.
- Strong subcontractor coordination and field leadership skills.
- Ability to provide documentation demonstrating required Superintendent qualifications if requested.
