Role: CAD Designer
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 6 months (likely to extend)
Hourly Rate: 44/hr to 55/hr
Role Overview
This position is focused on CAD design work, primarily tube routing and drawing creation. The bulk of the role (nearly 100%) involves creating and refining CAD drawings in NX and Teamcenter. There is a large volume of CAD work, so while some engineering skills may be used, this is not an engineering role—engineers would likely find it repetitive.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tube routing and create associated drawings
- Update and refine existing drawings
- Work closely with FF engineers for each task; update routing and make parts as needed
- Create drawings and submit them through the check process
- Manage multiple tasks in different review states; respond to feedback and iterate
- Use Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation
Technical Requirements
- NX and Teamcenter proficiency (3–5 years minimum)
- Experience with tube/pipe routing or electrical routing (mechanical routing experience acceptable)
- Ability to create fittings, assemblies, and integrated brackets
- Comfortable with CAD test during interview (screenshare in NX and Teamcenter; create a fitting and drawing)
- Agile and adaptable—able to pivot quickly during review cycles
Preferred Background
- CAD design experience in aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, or similar industries
- Familiarity with routing tools and processes
