Civil CAD Designer

Day-to-Day:

An engineering client of Insight Global is seeking a Civil Designer to join their team onsite in Akron, OH. In this role, the Civil Designer will work closely with assigned engineers on a daily basis to support the development of civil designs and assist with the preparation of technical studies and reports. Responsibilities include preparing drawings, figures, and base maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit, as well as interpreting, manipulating, and plotting field survey and topographic data. The Civil Designer will assist with field surveys, including traveling over uneven and sloping terrain, and will help reduce and process survey data. Day‑to‑day work will also involve preparing quantity take‑offs to support cost estimates, developing and utilizing three‑dimensional terrain models to generate cross‑sections and volume calculations, and preparing easement and property descriptions and drawings.
