Accounts Receivable Specialist
6 Month Contract (W2) to Permanent
Onsite M-F in Doral, FL
$22/hr-$26/hr
A company in Doral, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support billing, invoicing, and collections. This role is responsible for accurately processing invoices, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting financial operations using QuickBooks and other ERP systems. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate, review, and send customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply and post customer payments (ACH, wire, checks, credit cards) within QuickBooks or other ERP systems
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and clients
- Maintain accurate records of billing activity and customer communications
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including AR reporting and reconciliations
- Support documentation needs such as invoice backups and payment tracking
- Prepare reports on receivables and provide updates on outstanding balances
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or other ERP systems
- Strong understanding of invoicing and accounts receivable processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, reconciliation, basic formulas)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a project-based or service-oriented environment
- Comfortable managing high-volume invoicing and collections
