Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a public reporting environment
- Strong operational accounting experience, including balance sheet reconciliations and account roll-forward schedules, with the ability to quickly ramp up and work independently
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, linked workbooks, automated reporting feeds, and analysis of large datasets (10,000 rows)
- Experience partnering with auditors, accounting, and finance teams
- Ability to work overtime during month-end close and special projects

Day-to-Day:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual account roll-forward schedules
- Reconcile and analyze various balance sheet accounts for Atlas Air and Polar Air
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Partner with accounting, finance, and audit teams to support reporting requirements
- Research and resolve accounting issues, discrepancies, and reconciling items
- Manage and analyze large volumes of financial data and reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Create and maintain Excel-based reporting and analytics tools
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
- Learn and support Atlas' operational accounting processes and GL structure
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking an Accounting Analyst Temp for a top aviation and air cargo client. This candidate will support critical operational accounting functions, including balance sheet reconciliations, account roll-forwards, financial reporting, and close activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting foundation and advanced Excel skills, allowing them to quickly step into the role with minimal training. Training will primarily focus on company operations and the general ledger structure rather than core accounting responsibilities. This individual will partner closely with accounting, finance, and audit teams while supporting financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting initiatives. This is an excellent contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth and conversion based on performance.
