What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative position at Insight Global Healthcare?
MUST HAVES:-1 years’ experience in registration/patient access-Proficient with EMR software-Experience with insurance verifications/eligibility (IPA’s, PPOs, HMOs, Medicare, etc)-HS Diploma or GED equivalent PLUSES:-Experience in the Emergency Department or Urgent Care setting-Proficient with Epic Software Day To Day:An employer is looking for a Patient Access Rep in the Emergency Room setting. This individual will be cross trained on Patient Access activities for patients throughout the Medical Center in different areas/”pods” of the Emergency Services area. Patient Access Representatives facilitate a positive patient experience by managing tasks such as insurance verification, benefits determination, and financial clearance. They handle responsibilities across Patient Access, Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Financial Counseling, and more while maintaining all HIPAA compliance requirements. Strong social skills are essential for effective communication with patients and clinical staff in a demanding healthcare environment. This will be on site and must work every other weekend. There is one evening shift open 3-11:30pm and one night shift open 11pm-7:30am.3-month rolling contract - high potential for extensions and conversion
