Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking to hire a Pharmacist in Charge to help with starting up a home infusion pharmacy in the Lancaster, CA area. The Pharmacist in Charge manages all company departments, including pharmacy, nursing, admin, and sales, ensuring everything follows regulations and company policies. They oversee the company’s finances and communicate with the corporate office about financial, performance, sales, and clinical matters. They also provide clinical pharmacy services by evaluating prescriptions, preparing sterile compounds, and dispensing medications and supplies. Additionally, they supervise pharmacy support staff and ensure quality control and performance improvement. This position will start off as fully remote for the first few months until the pharmacy is up and running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, counseling patients, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Supervise and train pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve pharmacy operations and patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to pharmacy services.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active California Pharmacy License in good standing.
- Inpatient and Outpatient Infusion Therapy experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Experience with Sterile Compounding
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
