The ideal candidate will oversee the business and financial operations of the business. This individual will monitor the organization's economic performance and work closely with project managers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards for accounting
- Manage cash flow, cash management strategies, and forecasting to support organizational financial health
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes while ensuring timely reporting.
- Manage accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial management tools
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives with project managers to enhance efficiency
- Misc. Tasks: Maintain all insurance accounts (auto, liability, workers comp, health, etc.); review job contracts and coordinate with the corporate attorney; support employees with health insurance, 401k, etc.; prepare HR-related documents (new hires, employee notices, terminations, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
- 3 years' of experience in finance or accounting
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Currently living in the San Franciso Bay Area
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
