I'm partnering with a well-established New York City General Contractor/Developer with a strong pipeline of affordable housing and occupied rehabilitation projects throughout the five boroughs.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex renovation and capital improvement projects within occupied residential buildings.
The Role
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll be involved in all aspects of project delivery, including:
- Supporting multiple affordable housing and occupied rehabilitation projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, owners, and field teams.
- Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
- Assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Monitoring project progress to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Attending site meetings and coordinating with clients, architects, and design teams.
- Supporting compliance with NYC agencies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
What They're Looking For
- 2 years of Assistant Project Management experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager.
- Experience working on Affordable Housing, Occupied Rehabilitation, Capital Improvements, NYCHA, HPD, or similar renovation projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, scheduling, and project administration.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
