If this sounds like you, Insight Climbing & Movement wants to hear from you! We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our Bremerton gym as a Customer Experience Associate. Insight is a values-based climbing gym with the goal of fostering an inclusive and kind climbing community.
***WE HAVE TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE: ONE TO WORK ONLY AT OUR BREMERTON GYM, ONE TO WORK AT BOTH BAINBRIDGE AND BREMERTON LOCATIONS. PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR PREFEREINCE WHEN YOU APPLY.***
This is a part-time position, 14-20 hours per week over 3-4 days; applicants will need to work multiple weekday evenings and one weekend day per week. Position requires walking on uneven surfaces and the ability to climb.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as first point of contact for all customers, both at the front desk and over the phone.
- Oversee gym safety and enforce gym rules.
- Educate customers on our products and help them select the best product for their needs.
- Handle point of sale transactions for members and guests.
- Orient visitors to the sport of indoor climbing and all the safety policies and procedures involved.
- Monitor visitor check-in.
- Perform gym opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain gym cleanliness and perform daily cleaning tasks.
- Assist with administrative tasks assigned by Customer Experience Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional communication skills in a variety of situations.
- Previous climbing experience required, belay experience preferred.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Able to maintain a keen focus on safety while creating a fun environment.
- Experience using POS systems (other retail or restaurant environments).
