Job Summary
The University of Connecticut (UConn) is pleased to invite applications for a faculty position in the Department of Mathematics at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor at its Storrs campus beginning August 23, 2026. This position will teach seven undergraduate courses during the academic year, using a 4/3 or 3/4 semester load format.

It is the state’s flagship institution of higher education and includes a main campus in Storrs, CT, four regional campuses throughout the state, and 13 Schools and Colleges, including a Law School in Hartford, and Medical and Dental Schools at the UConn Health campus in Farmington. Minimum Qualifications
This position is a full-time, nine-month, Storrs campus position for an initial duration of one year, renewable for up to two additional years (three years total), contingent on satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, and availability of funds.
Faculty may also be asked to teach at one of UConn’s regional campuses as part of their ordinary workload. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics (granted by August 2026).
- Proven track record in both teaching excellence and deploying innovative pedagogical strategies in University-level teaching as the primary instructor or instructor of record.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively engaging with a broad range of perspectives in teaching.
- Experience with educational technologies, such as online homework systems, message boards, videos, smartboards, and interactive technological teaching tools.
- Experience teaching large lectures.
