Applicants must be enrolled in SSI for at least 3 semester hours; have a 2.5 GPA in good standing; supervisory experience with students; Must exhibit a high level of emotional maturity to be considered for the position.
All applicants MUST have fingerprints and background checks done prior to hiring. RA’s hired MUST complete a child sexual abuse training prior to ANY contact with students.
It is MANDATORY that all RA/Mentors participate in the “End of Program Trip”

Supervise and mentor approximately 25 Upward Bound high school students throughout the Summer Session; Actively participate in all activities including evening activities, training, field trips and meetings and maintain all required paperwork. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
