Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for an Undergraduate Research Assistant- Institutional Student Worker. We are seeking one Undergraduate Research Assistant to work on the USDOT-FHWA grant project subcontracted through USDA-FS. This project requires high-end skills in Geospatial Engineering & Technology including GeoAI, Geospatial Model Building, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Remote Sensing Data Analyses, Advanced Image Processing, Data and Image Mining along with strong work ethics. Advanced Computing/Programming skills are essential but not required to complete this project. Skills in WebGIS site development is essential.

Responsibilities
- Geospatial data acquisition related to the project and processing through advanced Data/Image Mining
- Learning and developing WebGIS sites using ArcGIS Enterprise and working with UNG IT personnel to set up the software and work on it for the WebGIS site development.
- Geospatial Model automation with GeoAI Develop Research Report, Conference Presentations (if feasible), Peer-Reviewed manuscripts (if feasible), and other scholastic materials
- Develop Research Report, Conference Presentations (if feasible), Peer-Reviewed manuscripts (if feasible), and other scholastic materials
- Develop step-by-step working process of all models or analysis so that can be followed by others easily.
- Geospatial Engineering and Technology
- Environmental Modeling and Decision Support Systems Development
- Advanced GeoAI, WebGIS site development
- Scholastic document writing
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
