Job Summary
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Kutztown University's Counseling Center is currently accepting applications for full-time licensed mental health professionals to provide short-term counseling services for the 2026/2027 academic year. The Counseling Center is located in the student health center, reporting through the division of Student Affairs. Counselors utilize a solution-focused model and serve undergraduate and graduate students in a team-oriented setting. This is a non-teaching position.
Responsibilities Include
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth and professional development; and service.
Minimum Qualifications

- Providing in-person individual and group counseling.
- Providing risk assessment and emergency intervention services.
- Providing consultation services to students, faculty, and staff.
- Providing clinical supervision of graduate practicum students.
- Providing referral services to external resources when a higher level of care is needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- A master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.- Unencumbered PA licensure (LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist).
- At least three (3) years of professional experience providing counseling to young adult populations.
- Demonstrated cultural competency through work experience with individuals and communities of color; LGBTQ individuals; working with people of various abilities, faiths/non-faith, ethnic backgrounds, and other diverse populations.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical setting working as a licensed counselor.
- Previous experience providing counseling services to college students in a university counseling center is strongly preferred.
- Experience with crisis intervention and management.
- LCADC/CAADC and experience completing drug and alcohol assessments.
