Summary of Duties
The Systems Analyst will work as part of a team of professionals with comprehensive responsibility for support and management of Rhodes State’s enterprise network and core computing systems. Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:
- Work directly with the senior team members within IT to assist in the support and management of infrastructure processes consisting of routers, switches, firewalls, file, print, AD/Exchange, VMware, web, SAN, NAC, Certificates and other various technologies.
- Assist with the administration and troubleshooting of the local network infrastructure including hardware and software.
- Support the classroom technician, configuration and troubleshooting in the classrooms.
- Provide technical support for the desktop PC/laptop environment. Support includes hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, repair, documentation, and end-user support.
- Manage the selection, scheduling, and training of work-study students who help with the daily operations of the computer labs across campus.
- Assist in the review, identification and presentation of hardware and software applications to ensure that the technology capabilities are responsive to the needs of the College.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and standards in order to identify areas for future development or enhancement.
- Comply with the organization’s architectural standards and implement quality improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in daily maintenance of servers and infrastructure applications, or the equivalent in education and experience in demonstrated expertise.
- Advanced working skills with Windows / Linux servers, operating systems and related technologies, including backup technologies, performance measurement and management, security, patching, backups and system management.
- Must be able and willing to perform enterprise system administration tasks as both a primary and secondary responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare project plans and proposals.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures used in IT and how they affect assigned systems.
- Must be able to be responsive to customer needs and organize projects.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills; a self-motivator, an appreciation for working with all individuals, minimal supervision, and an interest in lifelong learning.
- Extron Certification is preferred but can be acquired after hiring.
- Knowledge of virtualization and SAN technologies.
- Experience with Office 365 applications.
- Experience with Intune or System Center.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL server administration.
- Experience with Audio Video Equipment.
- Knowledge of Office 365 administration.
Required
- Associate's degree in a computer related field.
- Bachelor's degree.
