Job Summary
The Assistant Director for Living-Learning Programs plays a key role in supporting academic engagement, student learning, and residential engagement within the University of Kentucky’s residential experience. This position provides leadership and oversight for multiple Living-Learning Programs (LLPs), fostering collaboration with academic and campus partners, overseeing co-curricular and residential learning initiatives, and supporting the implementation and assessment of LLP learning outcomes and programmatic goals.
The Assistant Director also provides centralized coordination and support for LLP recruitment efforts, room selection processes, partner communication, and ongoing program development initiatives. Additionally, this position assists with the training, professional development, and support of LLP partners and stakeholders to help ensure consistency and coordination across LLP initiatives. The Assistant Director promotes shared engagement opportunities across LLP communities, contributes to student engagement and retention initiatives within the residential experience, provides direct supervision to 2–3 Resident Directors, and participates in the Leadership On-Call rotation for the Office of Residence Life.
Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
