Job Summary
This position is responsible for overall management of a research section within the Kentucky Transportation Center, including, proposal preparation, budget development and monitoring, data collection and analysis, client development and relationships and personnel management.
Internal Employee Being Considered

Strong management and leadership skills
Expert-level knowledge of one software research package (e.g. ArcGIS, JMP, Stata, SAS)
Ability to delegate authority and hold staff accountable for their performance
Provide guidance and direction to other team members
Ability to maintain a collegial atmosphere
Exceptional organizational and communication skillsStrong public relations skills
Readiness to network with domestic and international researchers
Ability to develop innovative research methods used throughout out their research field
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education/Experience
MASTER’S 12 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE OR PhD 6 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.Driver’s license preferred
