Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in coaching the colleges men's soccer program. This position contributes directly to the development, performance, recruitment, and retention of student-athletes while promoting academic excellence, personal growth, and compliance with all institutional and governing body standards. The role requires professionalism, punctuality, the ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and effective written and verbal communication.

The minimum monthly salary is: $1290/month

Responsibilities

Assists with on-field coaching. - 50%

  • Sets up for practices.
  • Runs drills.
  • Directs team warm-up and stretching.
  • Instructs and motivates players

Recruiting student athletes. - 10%

  • Attends high school matches.
  • Watch players highlights and full game videos.
  • Evaluates players.
  • Communicates with coaches and players.

Advises and monitors the academic progress of student athletes - 15%

  • Ensures player progress toward degree completion.
  • Supervises class attendance and grade reports.
  • Provides advice and support to students.
  • Coordinates community service opportunities for student-athletes.

Assists in coordinating team travel. - 10%

  • Reserves transportation for away games.
  • Prepares expense reports and travel authorizations.
  • Coordinates meals and hotels.

Promotes the soccer program to the campus, news media and community groups. - 5%

  • Speaks to civic organizations.
  • Provides free soccer clinics for the community.

Performs related duties. - 10%

  • Reviews scouting reports for opposing teams.
  • Assists in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the soccer program.
