The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH-IT) is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job Overview
The School of Education is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage a National Institutes of Health multi-year grant. The project coordinator position is a hybrid, 12-month, 30 hour per week, 75% FTE, unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers, UC graduate assistants and teachers, administrators, and youth in high schools.
This position is supported by grant funding with a start date July 1, 2026 and end date June 30, 2027 with the possibility to renew annually for up to three years.
Essential Functions
Communicating with school personnel, research team members, and community partners
Supporting curriculum design and high school teaching
Supporting IRB and human subject activities
Maintaining and organizing records and documentation related to program implementation
Coordinating meetings and major project activities and events
Other duties as assignedRequired Education
Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, communications, or related field.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirementRequired Experience
1 year of practical experience working with youth in a school or community setting is required.Preferred Qualifications Considered
Advanced degree or graduate-level coursework
Experience with curriculum design
Experience managing a research project
Highly organized
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledgeable about research principles, design, and strategies
Knowledgeable about Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR)
