Applications Close: Open until filledGeneral Summary of Position: The purpose of this position is primarily to develop assays for biomarkers in the Department of Chemistry at University of MassachusettsLowell. The Postdoctoral Research Associates will work closely with faculty, other post-doctoral associates, graduate students and undergraduate students on the synthesis, characterization, and development of assays. Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Education

• Ph.D. in Chemistry/BioChemistry or related areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. received within 6 months of hire
• Expertise in synthesis/assay development

Grade: PD which has range minimum of $50,000, 25th quartile of $56,500 and midpoint of $63,000. Anticipate this position not to exceed $65,000 based on funding. This position is contingent upon funding. The initial appointment will be for approximately one year (365 days) with a possibility of renewal based on productivity, successful performance and availability of funding.
