Job Summary
The primary duty of the Police Officer is to provide campus security by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Required to answer calls for service involving parking, fire, and traffic complaints. Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, and visitors in the campus community. Able to work flexible shifts and hours.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Other Required Qualifications
Must be 20 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
Must have successfully completed the certification by the Georgia Peace Officers' Standard and Training Council.
Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and written)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a law enforcement or public safety agency helpful.

- Conducts investigations of criminal activities, consisting of collection and identification of evidence, questioning principals and witnesses, case preparation and testifying in court. Investigates traffic accidents and performs related traffic control functions.
- Recovers stolen property.
- Provides various types of public service and assistance to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
