The Part-Time Camp Counselor assists with the oversight of the youth camp.
Works under detailed instruction and close supervision.
Temporary summer position.
What you will be doing
- Oversees an assigned group of campers in day to day activities
- Learns the material and activities provided in advance
- Takes initiative in all projects
- Follows directions and coordinates events as instructed; attends mandatory training as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Possess special skills such as: interest in arts, crafts, computers, sports, science, environment, reading or math
- Ability to be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time under varied environmental conditions
- Ability to pass swim test, if required
- Knowledge and training in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
