The Lab Technician conducts open lab hours to assist faculty in the day-to-day laboratory operations at a local or divisional site.
What you will be doing
- Ensures that Students and faculty have adequate resources to perform all aspects of course requirements
- Assists Student-Aids to perform all required job duties safely and maintains competency records
- Ensures that there are adequate resources and supplies for teaching
- Maintains an "open door policy" and communicates with student, faculty, and administration to promote development and accountability
- Assists Lab Manager in organizing lab for teaching and testing
- Organizes and inventories adequate supplies
- Ensures deliveries are checked & stocked properly
- Reports malfunctions, discrepancies, & other issues related to the use of equipment and materials to the Lab Manager
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associates degree in related field from a regionally accredited institution or two (2) years of College (60 credits equivalent) and one (1) year of related experience.
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Ability to follow OSHA safety and proper disposal requirements in the laboratory
- Knowledge and understanding of student and faculty requirements for lab procedures, skills, and testing
- Ability to positively interact with staff, students, and faculty
- Possess a friendly demeanor and provide intelligent solutions
- Possess good communication skills both orally and in writing
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff

Salary : $14 - $17
