Experience working in a research lab with animals is preferred but not required.
Job Description:
A full-time Laboratory Technician is needed in Dr. Mark Moehle's lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Florida in the College of Medicine.
This OPS technician position is needed to work on exciting projects to understand the physiological changes that underlie the motor and non-motor symptoms of movement disorders. This position is ideal for someone looking to attend medical/dental/graduate school in the next 1-2 years to build their research experience and resume. Candidates will be presented with career and research development opportunities.
Job Duties To Include:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Required Qualifications:
Experience working in a research lab with animals is preferred but not required.
Preferred:

- Working with rodent models of neurological disorders in behavioral assays
- Performing biochemical and histological assays
- Performing surgical procedures

- Strong attention to detail, excellent record keeping and ability to follow instructions with a good work ethic.
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
