Job Summary
The role will serve as a critical member of the student support team within the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership (CSEL). This essential role is responsible for the overall daily administration and operations of the CSEL office. Key responsibilities include managing daily office activities, maintaining a regular presence at the front desk, and directly supporting student organization leaders and advisors with essential administrative tasks such as unit purchasing, managing travel arrangements, and coordinating room reservations. We are seeking a collaborative, flexible, and innovative individual with a passion for developing and implementing new ideas to enhance student services. Candidates should be aware that this role requires a Purchasing Card (P-Card), meaning a credit check is required at the time of hiring and P-card renewal, in addition to standard background checks, as mandated by state law (O.C.G.A.
As a public institution, the university's ability to cover such costs is subject to budgetary constraints and state funding policies. Therefore, while we remain committed to supporting international faculty hires, we cannot guarantee payment of any newly imposed or increased visa-related fees.

Responsibilities
- This role involves leading the team in the management and coordination of all room reservations processed through the Event Management System (EMS). This includes overseeing and approving assigned room operations of the Student Center (Gainesville), specifically the dedicated RSO, SGA, and Nighthawks Entertainment areas and spaces. Lastly, will act as an official liaison for student organizations, utilizing the online Event Management System to finalize catering, student travel, etc.
- Oversee inventory and procurement of office supplies and materials for the department and student organizations/clubs (RSO resource spaces). This includes monitoring and managing assigned expenditure budgets for all active student groups.
- Act as the primary logistics consultant (event concierge) for student organizations and departments, offering high-touch guidance on EMS navigation and event strategy. Manage the full lifecycle of campus events by coordinating technical setups and catering logistics, ensuring all designated venues meet rigorous standards through detailed pre-event walkthroughs and compliance checks.
- Compose or create a variety of documents such as UNG Connect reports, office newsletters (Porcelain Press and E-Press), marketing updates, advertisements, and utilizing various software.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to resolve inquiries and streamline office operations. Manages administrative coverage, supervises student personnel, and delegates work assignments to ensure peak departmental efficiency.
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems and equipment.
- Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc.
- Requires a general working knowledge of the department's functional area.
- Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Access, or other office software.
- Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain records, gather and process information, work unsupervised, and maintain confidentiality.

- Three years' experience in office/clerical work or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- The proposed salary is: $14.76-$16.24 hour.
