The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026. This is a non-tenure-track renewable appointment designed to support high-quality teaching across the department’s curricula.
This position is part of the department’s teaching faculty and is intended for individuals who are passionate about teaching and bringing real-world experience into the classroom.
The department seeks a versatile professional with substantial experience who can contribute across multiple areas of management and organizational leadership subject areas. While the department’s greatest instructional needs are in core management topics, candidates with backgrounds in entrepreneurship, innovation, or technology-driven industries who can also teach broadly across the management curriculum are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses while also supporting selected graduate programs as needed.
Salary for this position is competitive.

- An earned master’s degree or terminal degree, plus significant professional or teaching experience relevant to management, leadership, entrepreneurship, or related areas
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching business or management-related subjects
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students in applied, practice-oriented learning environments
- Significant professional experience in business, consulting, entrepreneurship, project management, innovation, technology commercialization, or related leadership roles
- Experience teaching or training in academic, executive education, or professional development settings
- Experience integrating real-world managerial challenges, projects, or case-based learning into the classroom
- Experience leveraging artificial intelligence or other emerging technologies in teaching, professional training, or workplace environments
