Job Summary
In this role, students will work with the Assistant Director of Student Care and the Student Care Case Manager to assist with the daily operations, running, and maintenance of the Knights¿ Table, MGA¿s Food Pantry. The goal of this position is to provide consistent hours of operation for the Knights¿ Table to increase access to services.

Job Summary
In this role, students will work with the Assistant Director of Student Care and the Student Care Case Manager to assist with the daily operations, running, and maintenance of the Knights¿ Table, MGA¿s Food Pantry. The goal of this position is to provide consistent hours of operation for the Knights¿ Table to increase access to services.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operation of the Knights¿ Table including unloading, shelving, stocking, and storing of food donations and deliveries.
- Responsible for implementing Knights¿ Table policies and procedures including food safety guidelines.
- Manage the Knights¿ Table inventory including updating inventory after donations are received and after clients visit.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with preparing routine reports.
- Assist with the promotion of regular food and donation drives.
- Provide customer support by assisting with walk-ins, checking clients in, scheduling appointments for clients, and providing appropriate information and support.
- Assist with documenting and distributing Food Bags and Personal Care Kits to clients when requested.
- Responds to request for information regarding the Knights¿ Table in a timely manner.
- Provides referrals for local community resources when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality of Knights¿ Table clients at all times. Required to retain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
- Ensure the Knights¿ Table is clean and presentable.
- Other duties as assigned on an as needed basis.
- Minimum 2.5 GPA and be enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours
- Excellent communication skills both in oral and written forms
- Critical and creative thinking skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well with all individuals and ability to deliver services to those in need with compassion, clear boundaries, and good communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Excel and Office 365) and Canva or willingness to learn.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to be flexible under pressure.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures is preferred.
- Prior food service and/or customer service experience.
- Ability to lift heavy food boxes (25 pounds).
