Job Summary
This is a professional (working) level position responsible for maintaining the operation of a computer database. The position ensures the database runs properly, remains current, makes user access readily available, and formulates and designs new database applications. The position makes decisions of varying complexity regarding procedures for set up of, access to, and operation of databases.
Responsibilities
Baccalaureate degree required and over three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
- Administers assigned databases; performs backup and recovery operations, database patching, and upgrades.
- Upgrade and patch Oracle applications such as Weblogic, Apex, and Oracle Data Integrator
- Assigns and coordinates work assignments for functional teams.
- Assists functional team with development needs, query performance and tuning.
- Provides support for assigned applications.
- Troubleshoots and resolves a variety of problems and issues.
- Develops software to automate processes.
- Prepares documentation of tools, procedures, diagnoses, repairs, and requirements.
- Research requirements of potential new services.
- Evaluates the performance of existing services.
- Manages user accounts.
- Deploys solutions; manages system configurations.
- Builds test environments to evaluate changes prior to production.
- Provides end user support.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
