Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time time-limited position: Community Coordinator in the University Housing. The Community Coordinator will serve as an entry-level live in professional working directly with University Housing’s Resident Success Team to foster a student environment that fulfills the goals and mission of University Housing.

Working Conditions
Needs to move inside and outside the office space to conduct occupancy checks, wellness checks and assist in facilities concerns. This position ascends/descends stairwells in communities that do not have an elevator. This position must be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures as it pertains to facilities, occupancy, and the code of student conduct. The position must use logic to analyze crisis response procedures and relay pertinent information to campus partners. This position needs adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such as customer service complaints, maintaining the security of residents and the residential facilities, as well as competing priorities of reasonable significance to the unit and campus partners. This position requires night and weekend work while serving in the on-call capacity and attendance at events/meetings with student staff. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable three (3) year driving record. Able to attend overnight conferences and drive state vehicles transporting staff and students for work functions.

- Manage the operations of a residential community.
- Engage with the community utilizing the engagement model set by the department.
- Serve on a 24/7 administrator on call and support staff rotation.
- Serve as a case manager and hold students accountable for their behaviors. Time-limited position with benefits. Salary range: $35,568.00. Normal work hours vary. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
