Required qualifications include PhD in Italian Studies or related fields in hand by August 16, 2026; native or near-native fluency in Italian and English; record of excellence in teaching at all college levels of Italian language and culture in a comparative perspective; experience with current instructional technologies; commitment to curricular innovation, including the creation of translation courses; ability to work collegially and effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will already have demonstrated a strong potential in research with an established list of publications appropriate for the level.
