Job Description:
The University of Florida is seeking a skilled and strategic Financial Reporting Team Leader to join our CFO Division. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of the University's comprehensive consolidated financial statements and other required external reports, along with providing essential support and strategic analysis to the University and its Component Units. Specific duties include:
Technical And Operational:
Commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Certified Public Accountant or equivalent Certification or eligible and willing to complete within two years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word. Also, have extensive knowledge/understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Experience managing and reporting on internal and external audit activities over financial reporting
Experience with financial statement consolidation and reporting across a complex environment
Experience using PeopleSoft and/or Workday Financial systems
Experience with government or higher education accounting and/or financial reporting
