The Lafayette College Office of Intercultural Development (OID), a unit within the Division of Inclusion, advances the institutional commitment to inclusivity and belonging by supporting historically marginalized student populations and providing educational, cultural, social, and social justice engagement opportunities for the campus community. Reporting to the Executive Director of Intercultural Development, the Associate Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and assessment of high-impact student programs and advocacy initiatives. This role requires a unique vision, and ability to translate priorities into sustainable programs that strengthen student belonging, leadership development, and overall student success. A central component of this position is developing emerging student leaders by equipping them with the skills necessary to flourish both on campus and in their future careers. Located in the Office of Intercultural Development, the Associate Director will collaborate closely with International Student Advising and Support, Gender and Sexuality Programs, and Religious and Spiritual Life to advance an integrated, holistic approach to student development and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and implementation of a wide variety of educational, social, wellness, and cultural programs, including heritage/identity month celebrations and cultural commencement programs
- Serve as an active mentor and advisor to cultural and affinity-based student organizations
- Through structured engagement, help students build transferable skills in communication, organization, collaboration, and decision-making
- Identify emerging student needs and develop responsive strategies
- Contribute to divisional planning and long-term institutional goals
- Initiate and coordinate collaborations with academic and student life departments on campus
- Manage the office's online presence through website and social media posting
- Manage student employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist the Executive Director in the development and implementation of an inclusion strategy aligned with divisional and institutional goals
- Build partnerships with campus partners to initiate programs that enhance retention and student success
- Assist in the divisional vision to integrate inclusivity principles into institutional culture by providing educational opportunities for the campus community
- Build partnerships with external organizations to support inclusivity efforts on campus
- Collaborate with neighboring institutions to provide additional networks to foster student belonging
- A master's degree in College Student Development, Higher Education, or a related field is required
- Three years of full-time experience in a position supporting students (college/university setting preferred)
- Experience with inclusivity program development
- Familiarity with small, private liberal arts college culture
- Proven ability to manage budgets
- Experience in planning small and large-scale events
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required
- Ability to utilize current technology related to programmatic and business functions required
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
