Position Description

Chaffey College has a need for a pool of part-time instructors to teach Associate Degree Nursing (Clinical Practice). All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Associate Degree Nursing (Clinical Practice) instructors. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*As set by the Board of Registered Nursing

• Bachelor's degree in nursing;
• Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the content area to which they will be assigned, which can be met by the following:
• One (1) year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area. OR
• One (1) academic year or of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrate clinical competency
• The equivalent.
• Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.
