Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.

Job Summary

The Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball, supports the head coach in key aspects of the program, including recruiting, on-court instruction, player development, scouting opponents, and game preparation. Responsibilities also include supporting student-athlete academic success, coordinating team travel logistics, assisting with equipment management, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and organizing daily practice sessions and game preparation for championship and non-championship segments
  • Assist with the recruitment of prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, SIAC, University System of Georgia, and Albany State University policies and procedures
  • Support the monitoring of student-athlete academic progress and overall development
  • Assist with team travel coordination and equipment management
  • Assist in the supervision of interns, graduate assistants, and student workers
  • Support the implementation of program goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

One year of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.

Or an equivalent combination of education, playing experience, and coaching experience will be accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree.

Experience coaching women's basketball at the NCAA Division II level.

Proposed Salary
