Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) serves the Institute and its more than 14,000 employees through strategic counsel, employee engagement, and essential human capital management operations. As the people's unit, GTHR is engaged throughout the employee's lifetime at Georgia Tech. Our team works with sensitive employee information and assists in the management of complex employee issues. Professionalism and confidence are of the utmost importance within our team.What we do:Process payroll and maintain employment data for approximately 14,000 active faculty, staff, and students

Strive to attract, recruit, and retain the best talent in the marketplace.

Provide immigration, labor, and tax support required for foreign national faculty and staff to work at Georgia Tech and support employees performing services overseas.

Leverage a market-driven compensation structure to attract and retain employees.

Advise employees and managers regarding work performance and conflict management. Provide executive-level administrative services for one or more executive positions. Efforts include event planning, scheduling, briefings, presentation preparation, and facilitating visits to and communications with the VP's office. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: executives and staff within and external to the Institute, vendors, and visitors/callers to the VP's office.This position typically will advise and counsel: VP's.

This position will supervise: May supervise lower-level support staff. Job Duty 1 -

Coordinate VP scheduling with senior-level campus administration, external stakeholders, and other executives; maintain the calendar.

Job Duty 2 -

Coordinate travel arrangements, including processing travel authorizations.

Job Duty 3 -

Plan, organize, and lead the implementation of special events and visits.

Job Duty 4 -

Research and develop materials in preparation for corporate visits, conferences, meetings, etc.

Job Duty 5 -

May oversee monitoring of budget and purchasing activity

Job Duty 6 -

Maintain, update, and monitor departmental files, databases, records, and resource information.

Job Duty 7 -

Develop special presentations as directed by the VP.

Job Duty 8 -

Communicate and interpret administrative policies; develop internal office-related procedures as appropriate. Job Duty 9 -

Oversee arrangements and provide support for special projects and unit initiatives. Manage, track, and monitor progress reports, proposals, and related project communications.

Job Duty 10 -

Perform Other Duties As Assigned. Required Experience

Four to five years of job-related experience Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE, Or PERMITS

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Pay Range: $55,029-$64,937/yr.

Skills

This job requires extensive knowledge of the Institute's policies, program administration, and event planning. Skills in organization, briefing and report preparation, communications, meeting leadership and coordination, and customer service are required, as is the use of office-related computer applications.

Experience serving as a trusted gatekeeper for senior leadership, including screening requests and managing competing priorities.

Ability to support executive¿level meetings and events, ensuring logistics, materials, and tone align with institutional expectations.

Experience coordinating building¿level logistics and access for leadership spaces in partnership with facilities and vendors.

Ability to mentor or informally coach administrative staff supporting senior leadership by modeling best practices, professionalism, and institutional standards.
