Duties Performed In The Usual Course Of The Job
This position requires coordinating the English Education double major and teaching methods courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. Other course assignments will vary with the successful candidate’s training and experience.
The standard teaching assignment is 3/3. Service and peer-reviewed scholarly activity are also required.
Educational Requirements For The Position
PhD with a focus in English education (in areas such as English, literacy, curriculum and instruction, or educational leadership). Graduate coursework in American literature is preferred.
Experience Required For The Position
Previous experience teaching middle- or high-school English is required. Teaching experience within the state of Texas is preferred.
Other Requirements For The Position
Candidates should provide evidence of a research agenda in English education.
