Georgia State University’s Instructional Innovation and Technology (IIT) division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Developer, Lead to join our Application Solutions department. This role is responsible for software configuration, testing and facilitating assigned projects.
NOTE: This role requires on‑site work. Remote or hybrid work options are not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of responsibilities for this position will include, but is not limited to, the following essential duties:
Leadership
Under the direction of the manager, mentor and guide junior developers; assist with task assignments and process decisions.
Application Support
Troubleshoot application issues and deliver timely fixes and enhancements.
Business and Systems Analysis
Define system requirements and document business processes and functional requirements; prepare detailed program specifications from which programs will be written.
Application Programming
Design, code, test, debug, and document applications following established standards.
Project Management
Support project planning and coordination of resources; report project status to stakeholders.
Communication: Participate in meetings and provide regular updates to management and customers regarding project and support activities; collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Version Control: Provide version control and configuration management for supported applications when required.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
- Enterprise-level experience with SharePoint and Power Platform.
- Proficiency with enterprise-level development practices, policies, and standards as well as information technology service management processes.
- Sufficient knowledge and expertise to work independently within the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on projects of any size and/or complexity.
- With general direction, is competent within the requirements analysis phase of the SDLC on small to medium-sized projects and/or maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with industry best practices, tools, and techniques utilized within the design, development, and testing phases of the SDLC.
- Ability to effectively facilitate small to medium-sized meetings involving significant requirements analysis and/or business process change.
- Sufficient knowledge and expertise to serve in the role of project manager and independently lead technology-focused projects not involving significant requirements analysis and/or business process change.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with regard to relevant application technology within the applicable domain area within Application Engineering.

Salary : $79,400 - $103,200
