Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the department head and dean, the program coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned instructional program(s). The coordinator is responsible for teaching courses, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating adjunct personnel and student performance, and advising students. Additional responsibilities are to assist the department head with budget and equipment and to serve as lead instructor for Aircraft Manufacturing Technology programs assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in aircraft manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, or a related area OR an associate degree PLUS two (2) years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference is given to applicants with at least two (2) years of teaching experience in post-secondary education. The position requires comprehensive knowledge and experience in aircraft manufacturing processes with emphasis given to sheet metal and composite structures, aircraft materials and hand tools, fluid line assembly, corrosion identification and control, basic electrical systems, and tool & FOD control. Candidates must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology. Other assignments include teaching courses, curriculum development. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
