Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the operations of assigned academic departments (History and Political Science).
Responsibilities
Provides support the Dean, Department Chairs, and faculty. - 35
Assists the Dean, Chairs, and faculty members with special projects.
Attends meetings and records minutes.
Compiles data and prepares a variety of regular and special reports.
Submits textbook orders for faculty.
Proctors exams.
Schedules appointments.
Enters course data. - 10
Enters semester Schedule of Classes into Banner system.
Makes class updates, additions, deletions, corrections, etc.
Updates prerequisites as needed.
Processes approved changes into the catalog.
Updates course descriptions.
Maintains department inventories and makes purchases. - 10
Maintains supply inventory; checks stock to determine inventory level.
Orders office supplies.
Handles department purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Maintains purchasing records.
Provides administrative support for office operations. - 35
Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Prepares a variety of correspondence.
Maintains files and records.
Prepares a variety of forms and other documents.
Coordinates the maintenance of office equipment.
Performs a variety of related duties. - 10

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Associates degree required.
Required Experience
More than one year of related experience required.
Proposed Salary
