Adjunct Faculty – Chemistry Lab Instructor Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position in Chemistry lab instruction for our on-ground program which will be offered during our traditional day program. The successful candidate will have experience teaching undergraduate lab courses in chemistry for both STEM track and nursing track students. The instructor is responsible for all facets of the lab, including basic lab preparations and grading. Some collaboration is expected with other lab instructors and the department chair or lead instructor. The successful candidate will: Hold a Ph.D. in chemistry or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in chemistry or related field.
Possess strong communication skills.
Have experience teaching undergraduate laboratory courses.
Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L.
Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
