Job Summary
Provides academic advising and support for students who are Marketing majors or considering majoring in Marketing. Performs related duties as required.
Job Duties
85% - Essential - Plans, implements and evaluates activities related to academic advising and mentoring for undergraduate Marketing majors and interested students. This includes registration and course selection, academic progress, policy and procedure interpretation, career overview, major/minor changes, graduation requirements and checks, transfer credits, course evaluation, course substitutions, and professional development. Refers students to appropriate campus services. Works with the Department advising team to develop, update, and implement advising materials, processes, and procedures.
15% - Essential - Represents the Department at student orientation and recruiting events and college advising meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Education - 1st Bachelor's Degree - Experience in Student Services Programs
Work Exp 1 years
Preferred Requirements
Education - 1st Master's Degree
Work Exp 3 years
Responsibilities
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
Supervisory Responsibilities
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
Budgetary Responsibilities
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Physical Requirements
20% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
80% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself

Standard Hrs: 37.5
Compensation Information
Expected Salary Range: $39,300 - $53,000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel Level
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
