Job Description:
InsectaPel is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (student) with expertise or training in Chemistry/ Biology/ Entomology to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on in developing coating products infused with natural insect repellents for use in surface treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or entomology and will contribute to research, product development, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the synthesis and characterization of new materials for insect repellent coatings
- Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate performance and durability of insect repellent coatings
- Analyze data and optimize formulations for enhanced product performance
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, results, and findings
- Assist in scale-up and commercialization efforts for new formulations
- Collaborate with senior personnel and engineers on research projects
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of study in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Biology. Entomology would be a plus
- Hands-on laboratory experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- College/University students are eligible to apply
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with analytical chemistry and product analysis techniques
- Knowledge of surface coatings or related applications
