The NDSU Extension Cereal and Specialty Crop Plant Pathology team is looking for motivated individuals to help assist with various research duties invluding work in the greenhouse, laboratory and field
Position Information:
• • Assist with greenhouse experiments on economically important diseases of sunflower, wheat, corn, dry bean, and other field crops grown in North Dakota including; planting and maintenance of plants, collection of plant pathogen material, and evaluations as needed;
• Assist with laboratory work including growth media preparation, field inoculum preparation, packaging of seed for field experiments;
Assist with crop and field trial establishment and evaluations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Enrolled at North Dakota State University pursuing a degree in an agronomic science or closely related biological, microbiological or agricultural field of study;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to work as a team and independently;
• Ability to operate in a safe, efficient manner;
• Must have a valid driver's license.
Duration: Part-time employment during summer and academic year
Hours: flexible hours ranging 20 hours a week. During academic year and 30-40 hours for summer
Salary: $18 per hour dependent upon experience.
