Job Description:
Serves as a working leader, actively processing commercial loans while mentoring and guiding the processing team. Act as the subject matter expert for complex loan documentation, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations. Responsible for building and analyzing reports to manage the loan pipeline, coordinating with legal counsel and third parties, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation and lien filings. Lead process improvement, support system updates, and represent the team in meetings and closings. Demonstrate deep expertise in complex loan documentation for various structures, business types, layered terms, and collateral types, as well as in varied business entity structures, corporate documentation, operating agreements, partnership agreements, and joint ventures. Maintain proficiency with documentation strategies and requirements to perfect diverse collateral types, and actively mentor and coach team members to develop their own expertise in these areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a working leader by actively participating in daily loan processing tasks while providing guidance, mentorship, and training to other processors.
- Act as the primary resource for complex commercial and consumer loan documentation, ensuring compliance with bank policy and all applicable regulations.
- Lead the onboarding and ongoing training of new processors, ensuring they are proficient in workflow processes, system usage, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate with Relationship Managers, Commercial Loan Coordinators, clients, and other bank staff to ensure expeditious handling of loan requests.
- Provide expertise on legal considerations, lien searches, title work, security agreements, and Uniform Commercial Code requirements.
- Monitor and participate in daily processes such as loan closings, maintenance, system updates, and document preparation.
- Oversee and perform the recording of online documents (such as Deeds of Trust and UCCs), complete pre-closing loan document reviews, image loan documents, participate in HMDA data verification and filing, and monitor or adjust interest rates within LaserPro as needed.
- Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines, and that exceptions are addressed promptly.
- Collaborate with the Loan Admin Manager to implement system updates (e.g., LaserPro), and communicate upcoming changes to the team through clear, concise summaries.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and support the adoption of new procedures.
- Coordinate with management to provide documentation for audits and ensure adherence to all bank and departmental policies and procedures.
- Attend bank loan committee meetings and customer closings as necessary, representing the processing team and providing subject matter expertise.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze various reports to monitor the loan pipeline, track workflow distribution, and identify bottlenecks.
- Monitor and balance workflows in systems such as nCino, ensuring even distribution among processors and efficient handling of loan files.
- Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to identify opportunities for process enhancements. Take initiative in researching best practices and developing solutions that drive operational excellence.
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues and ensure a seamless loan workflow.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial loan processing experience
- Minimum of 3 years of LaserPro and LaserPro Admin experience
